Ok Proggies. Explain to me how this is a good thing.

A majority of “non-citizens,” including those with legal green card rights, are tapping into welfare programs set up to help poor and ailing Americans, a Census Bureau finding that bolsters President Trump’s concern about immigrants costing the nation. In a new analysis of the latest numbers, from 2014, 63 percent of non-citizens are using a welfare program, and it grows to 70 percent for those here 10 years or more, confirming another concern that once immigrants tap into welfare, they don’t get off it.
quote:
“The Trump administration has proposed new ‘public charge’ rules making it harder for prospective immigrants to qualify for lawful permanent residence -- green cards -- if they use or are likely to use U.S. welfare programs,” said CIS. “Concern over immigrant welfare use is justified, as households headed by non-citizens use means-tested welfare at high rates. Non-citizens in the data include illegal immigrants, long-term temporary visitors like guest workers, and permanent residents who have not naturalized. While barriers to welfare use exist for these groups, it has not prevented them from making extensive use of the welfare system, often receiving benefits on behalf of U.S.-born children,” added the Washington-based immigration think tank. The numbers are huge. The report said that there are 4,684,784 million non-citizen households receiving welfare. And nearly all, 4,370,385, have at least one worker in the house..

Because the majority of Republicans are feeding from the same trough the Democrats are.
There's a reason both sides hate President Trump, he's an outsider who likes to break and remove useless zhit.

This is incredible. We need to march on Washington and riot until we get some answers

My understanding is that the immigrants themselves and their sponsors are both supposed to be signing paperwork to the effect of “you aren’t supposed to be ob the dole and we can prosecute or deport you for doing so.”
Mainly in connection with chain migration iirc.
Everyone signs it then does it anyway because the government doesn’t enforce it.
If the government starts enforcing it and prosecuting / deporting these people, it should be fun to watch the Dems come forth to defend giving these people a pass.

This. Not enforcing a law is the same as not having one.

Totally BOGUS report
Census collects no such data
The Center of Immigration is an anti immigrant
group which is fine they are entitled to that opinion, but mix in some fact.

The article didnt claim the freeloading data was taken from the census. Try again.
Also, they aren't anti immigrant. They do favor reducing the number of immigrants but they arent against immigration.
You don't have to lie.

You might want to actually read the article of where the data came from
quote:
Programs Examined.
The major welfare programs examined in this report are Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) food program, free or subsidized school lunch and breakfast, food stamps (officially called the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP), Medicaid, public housing, and rent subsidies.
Data Source.
Data for this analysis comes from the public-use file of the 2014 Survey of Income and Program Participation (SIPP), which is the newest SIPP data available.2 The SIPP is a longitudinal dataset consisting of a series of "panels". Each panel is a nationally representative sample of U.S. households that is followed over several years. The survey was redesigned for 2013 with 2014 as the second wave of the new panel. We use the 2014 SIPP for this analysis. Like all Census surveys of this kind, welfare use is based on self-reporting in the SIPP, and as such there is some misreporting in the survey. All means and percentages are calculated using weights provided by the Census Bureau.

It is written somewhere in the Good Book to “help the needy amongst us”, or something to that effect, isn’t it?
Posted on 12/3/18 at 10:00 am to coonasswhodat
What do you do for the needy specifically?

Just confirmation of the real reason the libs want citizenship questions off the census.

This is why the Caravan people turned down Mexico's offer to give them jobs. They're not interested in jobs.
