Won’t change the results much. If anything, Trump probably gained support.

No, the Pope is really popular... I doubt it helped him, that would be shocking.

Absolutely not. I do however expect the Pope to be more in line with ALL of Christ’s teachings and the catechism, not just the ones that advance leftist causes.

Speaking of the Knights...I don't see why Kelly even commented on this unless he was asked to. If not this is definitely an unforced error. I can't see this doing the Knights any good.
It'll be really interesting to see what the homily will sound like this weekend. I used to think we had an ultra-conservative pastor until ICE came to NOLA and he went on a tirade about channeling his inner John the Baptist.

quote:

In recent days, many Catholics and other people of goodwill have been deeply disappointed by the disparaging comments directed at Pope Leo XIV by the President of the United States. The Successor of Saint Peter is not a politician — he is the Vicar of Christ, entrusted with proclaiming the Gospel and shepherding souls.

As a Catholic for Trump, picking a fight with the pope was fricking stupid. While it won’t be anyone’s deciding factor on whether or not to continue supporting Trump, it was still an unequivocal own-goal, pure and simple. Basically the entirety of our community agrees

No doubt taking the high road would have been better but give me an example of when Trump has taken the high road.

Trump should have the Pope removed. The Vatican is going to stop him with what army.

Also, that poll was taken April 8-10, before the Trump-Pope spat started.

He didn't pick a fight with the Pope. The Pope picked one with him. Now TDS f@gs are crying because Trump is standing up for himself. If Trump never said anything and let it go, people would be calling him TACO and talking about how the Pope smacked him down etc.

Nope, but if he starts quoting scripture he ought to get the meaning correct and not twist it for some other purpose.

So now we should take Pro Trumpist interpretations of scripture? At least the Pope has spent more than 10 minutes studying theology. You probably think the Ezekiel quote by Hegseth is real?

You guys cannot be taken seriously.
