Who would give that dumb frick money?

what’s Cassidy’s issue besides being a medical doctor and not forgetting what he knows about medicine when it’s politically convenient?

Cassidy will win or else the other candidates will split the traditional conservative vote and allow John Bel Edwards to become the next U.S. Senator from Louisiana.
How do people who post on politics forums not understand simple election rules?

I voted for the welder last time.
I will be voting against Cassidy this as well, no matter how much money he has.

Total waste of $9 million dollars. Not even Trump’s endorsement would persuade me to vote for him.

He still won’t win. There’s probably 50% of republicans who outright won’t vote for him because of the trump betrayal years ago. Trump won’t end up endorsing him.
So now you have him fighting for 50% of the remaining vote. Considering his high negatives, he’d be lucky to get 20%, more like 15%. He won’t make the run off. Miguez will get 15-25,
Fleming with get 15-25, Letlow will get 10-15. And the rest will be split among candidates that won’t break 5%.
JBE will be the Democratic candidate and he will go down in flames. It will end up around R 56 JBE 40 and some other independent candidates splitting the difference.

This Board needs to rally behind John Fleming. The honest conservative.

I live in north LA. I will vote for some else in primary. Cassidy vs Democrat in general. I have no choice vote for Republican.

How much do you want to bet that he gets more than 15% in the Republican primary?

If somehow Cassidy doesn't win the Republican nomination, then JBE will likely end up the favorite. We've seen this song and dance twice already

In a state level election, yes. Not in a federal election. Everyone said Charlie Melancon would trounce David Vitter, as well.

Tomato tomato. Same voting base and the "Republicans for Jon Bel Edwards" will be back in full force for round 3.
There will be no incumbency bias, the MAGA-adjacent candidate will have to get dirty in the primary, and the "Republicans for JBE" crowd hates MAGA.

Your vote won't matter. All Cassidy has to do is run a few TV commercials saying I support Trump. I cut him a check. That's all the South La coonarses need to hear.
Just ask Ralph Abraham about that?

Hillary had tons of money in ‘16 and she lost. It all depends on the Candidate, Trump’s endorsement (to some extent) and whether Conservatives split the vote or not.
Cassidy really sucks personally, but knowing him now that MAGA is rolling he’ll get on board. Regardless he could NEVER be trusted. He has ‘the look’.

If JBE was in today the BBB might not have passed or some other major bill would be sacrificed.
If you can’t primary Cassidy hold your nose and vote the lesser of 2 shite candidates.

How much money did Jeb Bush have when he ran against Trump for the 2016 Republican primary campaign? Remember how that worked out for him. Money doesn't equal votes.
Ole Jeb had an outrageous amount of money. I think someone did the math and he spent something on the order of 2,800 dollars per vote in the Iowa Caucuses in 2016.
Vox
Some other estimates say it was as high as 5,000 per voter. That is why Iowa has become too much of political darling and corn/ethanol subsidies are like the third rail of politics.
Primaries and caucuses should be held on the same day so one state doesn’t influence others.
