Why?
Thousands of National Guard troops are currently protecting the Capitol that is surrounded by fencing and razor wire – but it’s not enough.

I'm not defending the troops in DC but it's no surprise what's happening.
Are you a Christian? Are Islam and its tenets a hoax? Yea? Well then we don't need to worry about suicidal terrorists flying commercial airliners into buildings.

It’s the original date that presidents were inaugurated. Inauguration Day changed to January 20 with the passage of the 20th amendment in 1933 — the same year that Franklin D. Roosevelt ended the gold standard.

Essentially every major news and entertainment outlet is reporting that the greatest existential threat to the history of our country is white supremacists (MAGA hat wearing Trump supporters) and without the armed guards and razor wire Pelosi and AOC would have obviously been murdered by now.
What better wear to keep that narrative alive then by continuing to talk about warnings of gathered intelligence and ramping up security to deal with it?
While the right stands looking around to see exactly who is supposed to be doing something.
