Look - I've said this before in #BlackSession threads, but black folks in America developed a set of survival skills during slavery, Reconstruction and Jim Crow. Among these many are things like "sticking together", don't trust Ofays and not snitching. Part of this "sticking together" is the black block vote. Frankly, these instincts served them as well as possible under the circumstances and I understand how they have persisted.

But, these are archaic and need to be discarded. They are not serving the needs of black folks or the black community. Blacks are disproportionately the victims of crime (particularly violent crime) and better cooperation and relationship with the police would be in everyone's best interests.

As a political force, blacks are largely held hostage to the whims and corruption of their "community organizers" and "pastors" who dutifully herd them into voting booths every election cycle (for a price, of course) only to send them back into their failing communities (largely black and Democrat led, by the way), with failed schools, poverty, addiction and a general lack of hope continues to abound.

Part of the reason Trump may resonate a little more than prior Republican Presidents is that he does offer an optimistic message for the future and actively asked black voters to consider him as an alternative ("What the hell do you have to lose?").

What, indeed.

That was a fricking great super melt.

You know me. I'm conservative, serve the cause, support candidates with my money, work the polls and volunteer. So, I'm not just some troll here, but I see CO as an opportunist. I really don't begrudge Candice her monetary gains. We all whore ourselves out in one way or another. I just don't like to participate in the fraud myself by giving her affirmation.

This is an interesting read on her background, if you care to get a glimpse of who she really is. It's an act, but, a rewarding act.

Candace Owens
She's a leftist/dem scam artist that is turning a lot of people in her community away from the Dem party. Who's being scammed here?

Exactly — if her actions are actually influencing minorities to take a look at conservatism and at least be open minded, I could care less what her “true” intentions are and since this guy is convinced she’s a body snatched lib-tard in conservative clothing what is exactly her end - game? If it’s just to make a lot of money — um ok great? So capitalism works and she’s still influencing large groups of young people who may have never thought about looking at conservative ideas to check them out. Awesome. It’s almost like theirs no catch.

Did you watch the clip from Rogan? That's a great example of how Owens is nothing but a talking point machine and she doesn't actually believe the bullshite she spews.

Plus look up her past with her doxxing site, Social Autopsy. She went from a liberal to "conservative" overnight because that's where the money is.

Her past is quite clear that she is nothing but a grifter and you idiots are too dense to see it because she is your token black girl.

You probably think Reagan was a grifter too right ? After all, you would probably say he was nothing but a liberal Commie in Hollywood until the acting started to dry up and he saw an opportunity as a big conservative and BOOM look at the results — man we are all a bunch of idiots thinking Reagan was an awesome conservative President. He was actually a commie grifter the whole time, it’s just he wanted to make a bunch of money and played a big conservative republican the rest of his life — but we know the truth he didn’t get away with anything, deep down inside he was a true commie at heart —- capplewood

I enjoy her ability to call out the left for their efforts to maintain control over people who look like her.

What are her future aspirations? You can only be a talking herd for so long before people stop believing you are a leader.

Remember George Bush Jr and Katrina? Also remember that Kanye has a personal friendship with Trump. Is he going to be pro Republican when Trump is no longer POTUS.

Again, are you saying people can’t change their political views from
15 years ago? I have no idea what Kanye is going to do after Trump is out of the WH but it’s cool he’s “playing” along now if that’s all it is. Also last time I checked Trump hates the Bushes as well so not sure that’s a big conflict anyway.

I have to say...thank you for taking me down a deep rabbit hole here. She seems to have a really good head on her shoulders. I really like her in open Q&A. She seems to have had a big change of heart and everything she talks about is very real. Thanks for showing me this

When the majority of your Supporters are NOT the people you are supposedly trying to convert, then your messaging isn't working in an effective manner.

This board is proof that shes mostly doubling down on ring wing rhetoric, not converting people from the other side.

Agreed.

Agreed. With the cavaet that the "war on drugs" was specifically designed to target minorities areas.
We can debate on whether this was the best approach but we can't debate that it largely has been a failure.

There is much to unpack here outside of 1 thread. Suffice to say all pastors are not trying to do the Democratic Party bidding. They want what's best for their flock, usually that takes the form if government assistance.

We both know that's not the best way out of poverty. But it's very difficult to convince people who lived in a destructive lifestyle to follow a better path.

That's why I admire Owens because at least she's trying. It's her methods that many don't agree with it.

quote:

Part of the reason Trump may resonate a little more than prior Republican Presidents is that he does offer an optimistic message for the future and actively asked black voters to consider him as an alternative ("What the hell do you have to lose?").

As much as I hate to say this, its because Trump's delivery is simple and to the point. He doesn't use euphemisms or any tact when addressing the public. However he is able to reach more of the public using that style of speech.

Im not mad at POTUS because he's figured out the best way to get a message across. It's just unfortunate that the average American citizen is too dumb to realize their are always nuances to a situation. That criticism goes DOUBLE for Black people.

Similar to how many people loved Obama because their support of him proved to the world how ‘un-racist” they were.
