Voting democrat is a small piece of the puzzle. The bigger and longer lasting impact comes when electoral seats are redistributed. For electoral votes, population is taken into account, which includes illegals.
Right now, California would be losing a few electoral votes to a couple of midwestern states. Bring in enough illegals to blue states and the democrats can avoid losing those automatically blue electoral votes to the Midwest which is historically red

Reasonable quotas or limits would be okay. I can’t calculate exact numbers for you right now. W had a good proposal but hardliners in his party defeated it. They preferred zero immigration from Latin America…. that’s not reasonable.

Democrats were the party against illegal immigration more than a decade ago.
Of course the reasoning was that rich business people were exploiting them for low wages. Amazing how quickly they lost their "morals" regarding immigration.

That’s not what Dems have done though. It has been unfettered immigration, with total disregard (disdain?) for the American people.
