Can anybody explain to me why this Ukraine story is a big deal?

how has THIS of all things allowed the fringe of the DEMs to force Nancy to start talking impeachment?
we threatened to withhold aid, so what?
the alleged person at issue isn't in the race. his father is
the same fringe who is using this to force Nancy to bend the knee also doesn't even support Biden
how is this a constitutional crisis?
how is this illegal?
sure it's impeachable, but anything can do that. you just need the votes. Trump could be impeached for wearing a suit, if Congress so decides

Just because you call it an impeachment inquiry or whatever else it is NOT an impeachment without a vote. Republicans should demand and pressure pelosi to bring impeachment up for a vote as it FAILED the last vote.

I think the main issue is that it's intended use is to benefit trump personally (2020 campaign). I doubt trump is dumb enough to not have 2-3 other plausible reasons.. but that's the heart of it.

It’s a constitutional crisis of the highest order. I don’t have to educate you on all of the countless impeachable offenses Trump has committed. They are all over the place.

That would be an interesting scenario. Theoretically Trump could take such an action before SCOTUS as being unConstitutional (not rising to the "high crimes and misdemeanors" threshold).
All that aside, attempts at Impeachment over something so minor (especially when the reason for the Impeachment falls through) does nothing but make the Impeaching party look incredibly petty and thus can gin up support/sympathy for the President and possibly his party.
