Well, they are from California. Kind of surprised it is suburban San Diegoites though. I could definitely see this in San Francisco or Oakland. Then again compared to San Francisco and Oakland they might not have thought that Afghanistan could be that bad.

Jeez, I thought Mexico is risky and dumb.
My oldest daughter did community work in New Orleans her freshman year of college a shitty black neighborhood, the thing that actually made it safer was three 6'6 plus basketball players from the college fixed the Bball court and everything was chill after that, I was a tad nervous, the next year on a Navajo reservation.

Is this real? Who approved this?

They probably don't have job anymore.

I mean is this the Bee???
I could care less about who approved it. I wonder about the dumbass parent that allowed their kid to go! If there ever was a case for the State to take a kid from it's parents, this is it.

Good. I hope they get stuck there forever. That's 20 less blue votes.

I mean they are really, really dumb for going to Afganistan on a sight seeing tour, much less taking their children along. Being ignorant doesn't warrant anyone wishing them harm. No one should stand in Darwin's way, but to wish harm on stupid people is a bit evil in its own right.

Dozens of California students and parents are stranded in Afghanistan after taking a summer trip to the country.

Going on a field trip to a war zone is some very bad decision making.

But that doesn't mean that they should be abandoned there.

You know in California, it was likely all fully funded by the school system, as well.

Was it a virtue signal kind of trip? To try and prove that trump was wrong and that we should be in Afghanistan and that the Taliban are friendly, or some dumb shite? I mean... I cannot think of any other reason why they'd not only be there, but would even stay there.

If it's not a virtue signal... could it really be a case of our state department and people on the ground over there...convincing our citizens that everything is fine and there's no need to leave?

I'm willing to bet large sums of money that everyone on this "trip" is fully vaccinated against COVID, too.

Can't take a chance getting a disease with a 99% survivability rate, but hey let's go to terrorist Mecca. I'm sure it's fine.

I don't recall wishing harm on anyone. I just said they should stay there.
