As I said in another thread, Unions were once a very important part of this country, not any more. Now it's just organized theft and corruption and a means for controlling blocks of voters.

PS. how dare California to expect those leaches to actually work for their salaries. That's going to cut into their time spent on their side scams.

I watched a Steve Hilton interview, think it was on PBD, he talked at length about the power state government unions yield in California.

Grok summarized it(Grok provided details if interested)
quote:

Steve Hilton, a Republican candidate for California governor (as of 2026), appeared on the PBD Podcast (#803, released around May 21, 2026) with Patrick Bet-David. He argued that public sector (government) unions hold enormous power in California, effectively running much of the state's policy and politics.

Key Comments from HiltonHilton answered PBD's question "Who runs California?" (governor, unions, billionaires, etc.) with a personal story and historical analysis:The "unions run this place" moment: While working on housing reform, Hilton met with a Democratic state legislator who called his ideas "transformational." When he suggested collaborating publicly, she refused, saying the unions would hate it. Gesturing toward the state capitol, she bluntly stated: "The unions run this place." This was a pivotal realization for Hilton about entrenched interests blocking change.

Historical turning point: Hilton traced California's decline to when government unions gained collective bargaining rights (starting in the 1970s under leaders like Jerry Brown). Over decades, this built "incredible power" and a "lock on policy." He emphasized it's not just government unions (e.g., teachers, public employees) but also private-sector ones that influence through donations, lawsuits, and negotiations.

There is far too much capital and resources in California for your prediction to happen. California will survive and attract investment…
