Only reason Newsome wants them in office is to make it easier to enlist them for political operations
I would imagine many of those employees are not in person interacting with constituents. CA is broke, sell off office space and reduce office expenses with WFH

Simple, place a camera on their computer and monitor their WORK performance since they are supposedly working from home. Fire them if they don't produce.

While California maybe broke, Newscum must have someone in office real estate and needs to fill some commercial real estate space quickly before the banks start foreclosing on office buildings.
