I don't know what age that would be but it reminds me of a couple who taught their daughter to fly a small plane at age 11. The girl insisted that she wanted to break a record for youngest person to fly solo across the U.S. She crashed and died. The parents were interviewed on a news talk show. Their position: "Hey, she died doing what she really loved."

That's not being a responsible parent at all. Like the idiots who say it was God's will. No fool Take parental responsibility

The establishment is leftist. Most people just go along with whatever the establishment is.

Oh and, yep, more proof every day that this country isn't worth fighting for or saving at this point.
Something else will have to come along and replace it.

The parents came across as New Age types. Because the interview was in their home and their 4 year old started to throw a tantrum on camera.
The mom turned toward the kid and said:
"Hey, mister...you are getting out of yourself. You need to get into yourself. We all need to be into ourselves."
Didn't work. The dad had to take the kid into another room.

I like to think if i had a transgender child i would be supportive, but also you should let nature run its course. There are a lot of 5 year old girls who "want to be boys" but that is different than being transgendered. Let the kid get old enough to really understand this shite, before pushing them into a difficult life path.

What's most disturbing is how many liberals think this is "courageous"
spot on, I don't dare supposed the parents encouraged this and believe it makes people think that their child and they are courageous.

No wonder Russia and China think America can be had. They see how weak and decrepit our culture has become and believe that we are on our way down. When Putin sees this Time Magazine cover, I'm sure a full invasion of Ukraine won't be far behind....
How long will it be before O leads the charge for this needed civil right? Or will he be against tranny until he is actually for it?

There is a book I highly recommend. It's called "As Nature Made Him". The true story of parents who changed their boy into a girl shortly after birth. An accident during circumcision meant the boy would grow up with a mutilated penis. A psychiatrist convinced the parents to immediately remove the penis. The child would be raised as a girl from day 1. Then a vagina would be constructed. Then female hormones. The Dr. wanted to write a book proving that sexuality is from environment not biology. He would become internationally famous for his ground breaking work. It did not end well at all.
I think that was a Law & Order: SVU episode

These people are anti-biology, therefore anti-science

I don't know what age that would be

have you ever interacted with a 5 year old?
They want to be a bird, or a dog, or a fireman, or whatever.
If the child wanted to be a dolphin should they have thrown her in the water?
Clearly something is seriously fricked up with the kid. And I feel for them, and the parents. They do not want a girl that thinks its a boy, what parent would? And if they did want this, think about how much sorrier you should be for the kid!

Without getting into all the moral, cultural and theological nonsense people like to throw around regarding things like this the problem is very simple: These parents are endangering the future health and psychological well-being of a child. That is the only real issue here. It is a medical fact that most gender dysmorphic disorders resolve by or during puberty.

Isn't all this some how related to the oedipus/electra complex?

No, clearly something is fricked up with the parents. As a parent, you can't go all in on something like this at the age of 5. You don't reason with 5 year-olds, especially on things like their sexuality.

I dunno, some of my gay friends said they knew they were gay from a very young age, like 5.
I do agree something is seriously wrong.

That's fine, but you have to let it play out. As someone else mentioned, it seems like puberty would more likely be a tipping point.

The parents need stop being lazy hippies and explain to her that she's a girl if she really, honestly thinks she's a boy.
If she's just pretending to be a boy, which is what it sounds like, then the parents are batshit crazy because she's just being a kid.
