California News Anchor Resigns After Defending Brett Kavanaugh On Facebook

The resignation came after he was suspended by the station.

He started off by supporting the #MeToo movement. “I have absolutely no sympathy for the increasingly long list of well-known names who have fallen from grace because they thought with their little head and not their big one.”

Meh, he'll be picked up by a station in a conservative market and probably live a much happier life anyway.
He can go somewhere like Arkansas, immediately join the primetime broadcast, and live like a king on less money than he was making in CA.

Reporters should strive to be neutral. That includes not posting your opinions all over social media.
I don't wish this guy any ill will, but he should be fired.
But the much more gross injustice is the hundreds of journalists who actually see it as part of their job to push an agenda aren't fired.

I am old school. It is paramount that a news anchor appear apolitical and non-biased. It was asinine of him to spout his political opinions on Facebook. I would have fired him, too.

Reminds me of the guy that recently apologized on Twitter for using a quote from Churchill.

Leftists can say just about anything they want and be praised professionally for it. They will even be called "brave" for speaking out against injustice for writing the most vile and hateful things.
