“He told me living in San Fran was unsustainable and he can’t wait to retire to Arizona”

F your friend. He’s a sack of Sh!t. He’ll pack up and head to a Republican place and vote like the mindless zombie he is for liberalism. And, then he’ll pack up for another republican bastion and f that up. He needs to be told how Sh!tty of a move that is. Stay in the hell hole he helped create.

Do "conservatives" even bother running in places like SF or LA? I mean for years they have not stood a chance, and seems like a colossal waste of time and money to even run.

Elections aren't real, especially in California.

I will be surprised if, especially on the national scene, there is ever another competitive race. That is unless something is done about it.

My fears exactly - I do not believe the IQ of the dems is low enough for them to be pushing this agenda as fervently as they are unless they KNOW they are immune to voter reaction. It is just not possible they would commit political suicide in this fashion. They have no principles, so it is not 'honor' that is holding them back - nothing but fear of election loss will deter them.

They are not deterred at all = bad sign for all honest men.

I don’t see it happening. CA is a left wing shitehole and will remain a left wing shitehole after this election. I don’t see them throwing out Soros funded DAs. Boudin will probably get more votes in the recall than he did when he was elected. It’s a waste of time and money to try to win anything in the People’s Republic of California.

i was pretty hopeful that Eric Adams would be a good shift for NYC

This is the same Eric Adams who told people not to call the police for loud noises and disturbances on July 4 and said to just go talk to your neighbor to settle the issue. Well, one woman took his advice and got shot to death for it.

He's never been anything more than black De Blasio.

We'll just stay home and then whine about losing the Senate Majority.

Same here. I’m as hopeful as can be expected but I won’t hold my breath. As a state we are what we are until proven otherwise.
