It’s also worth mentioning the spike protein cannot mutate too much or it won’t infect humans anymore.

This is absolutely not what the article says.....

Besides I'm not sure what the validity of livescience.com is....BUT I can tell you right now that no one in this country has any clue as to whether L452R is less responsive to the vaccine or not...in fact I'd bet that most scientists as of what they know now would say it would be just as responsive as other variants.

There are two different variants discussed in the article. They say the L variant may impact vaccine efficacy because it’s a mutation to the spike protein.
