I'm sure it would suck.

But not NEARLY as much as living without all white inventions would suck.

I don’t want to give them clicks. What are the black inventions people are having to live without?

No internal combustion engines, no indoor plumbing, no household electricity.

They already have this show and it's called Survivor.

Isn't this video kind of indicative of the problem MLK was trying to solve?

You know, the whole dreaming of a world where people would be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin?

When I think about inventions, I just think "man, I'm glad some smart person thought this up."

I don't think "man, I'm glad a white/black/yellow/whatever person thought this up."

Someone made a great argument on youtube that if not for the cotton gin being made, slaves on (cotton farms) would have ended quicker due to it not being profitable.

I've recently heard people trying to say that he was, but this seems like revisionist history to me. Plus, George Washington Carver didn't invent peanut butter!!!

To the point that it was economically feasible for more than just the ultra rich to own enough slaves to make cotton cultivation profitable and to make cotton fabric cheap enough to be afforded by the masses, causing the demand to go through the roof.

Without the cotton gin, cotton cultivation largely remains a niche cash crop and likely takes a back seat to other crops like rice, indigo, and tobacco, and cotton clothing remains an expensive luxury up until the 1860's/70's when the British get their cotton-producing colonies of Egypt and India going full blast.
