It really isn't. There are some good theoretical ideas out there. I just don't know how they could be practically applied.

There are social consequences that come with the preservation of individual freedoms, freedoms I support. Unfortunately gun violence is one of them.

Only point I’d make is that gun ownership doesn’t mean you WILL have gun violence. We could preserve that right and still greatly reduce gun violence, but it won’t be accomplished with a one-liner solution that sounds good during a press conference or a debate.

I swear, it's like the FBI collects and saves these guys away like wild cards, and throws one out there to kill whenever they need to boost their narrative.

Mmmmm, it pretty much does mean that and history has taught us that but I'm at peace with it. Since this country's birth, men have reached for a firearm to solve problems with their neighbors or personal enemies.

Gun violence can be reduced but when you have such easy access to firearms (access I endorse) excessive gun violence will follow. Although it's gotten worse over the decades, it's always been much more common here than so called "civilized" countries with more restrictive gun laws.

I don't know if it's true or not but it seems I read somewhere that if you remove black gun violence in this country. Gun violence stats become comparable to Western European countries with restrictive laws.

I believe you believe this.

Enter that pertinent data in NICs and that would have stopped him from legally obtaining a firearm?

What crime was he convicted of? The authorities investigated, didn’t find enough to rise to PC of a crime being committed and referred him to mental health.

Do we want to charge every disaffected teenager who runs his mouth? We’ll have a whole generation of kids with a record.

True this. The Founders knew that Constitutional Freedom can only long exist "for a moral and religious people". BTW, 'morality' (I.e., "social justice"/"income equality") has now become the basis for Leftist hegemony and the "fundamental change" which nullifies Constitutional Principle.

This political scenario is like the 'musical chairs' game; simply ends up being which Side sits in the seat of 'legitimate' Governmental/Institutional power. Authoritarian Fascist as viewed from the Loser's POV.

Votes are not going to solve this problem, they will aggravate it. Same with talk. Thomas Sowell's "First Premise" principle eloquently describes this.

Let's hope and pray that Jesus is real and has our back. Otherwise, it's likely 'The Fermi Paradox', down the road a bit.

You got that right. In prog’s warped world view, advocating that gun ownership is an inherent right is a form of mental instability.

If such a threat had been made to target the New York State Capitol or the U.S. Congress I bet that wouldn’t have been the case.

What I mean by that is that it’s not locked into reality. I have several guns and they’ve never been used in a crime. And I’ll also clarify by stating that gun ownership won’t by definition reduced violence. Obviously in Magic-land where there are zero guns there’s zero gun violence; they doesn’t mean it’s not just as or more violent than Gun-land. The Virgin Islands have a small fraction of firearms per person compared to us but their murder rate is 9-10 times ours. If you don’t have a gun a machete is pretty damned effective, as are blunt objects.

This goes back to my main belief that kids showing mental health issues should be barred from buying a gun until at least 21 and have to get a positive psychiatric review before buying one.

More than half of these nutty mass shooters show severe mental health issues and violence in school.

Didn’t you want to assault truckers not long ago?

The guy needs to go to jail for the rest of his life.

You, however, aren’t the person to pass judgement imho.

Buffalo Shooting - These Flags Won't False Themselves!

How many flags could the CIA false if the CIA could false flags?
