The brand is likely to be overtaken soon by Corona or Modelo as the nation's top-selling beer brand, according to industry observers.

quote:

On June 12, 2008, The Wall Street Journal stated that Anheuser-Busch InBev, which owned a non-controlling 50% stake in the company, might attempt to acquire the remaining 50%.[3] On June 29, 2012, it was announced that Anheuser-Busch InBev would acquire the remaining 50% stake for an all-cash price of $20.1 billion.[4] On January 31, 2013, the US Department of Justice filed an antitrust suit in an attempt to prevent the buyout. The matter was settled and the two companies merged in June 2013,[5] with the transfer of all United States rights to Constellation Brands.[6] As a result, all of the company's brands are made (in Mexico) by an unrelated company. In the United States, Grupo Modelo brands are distributed by Constellation Brands.

No doubt all of this is true.

Furthermore, one woke chick, supported by her management has cost AB untold millions going forward and...they will not be able to salvage this.
Bud Light is dead to it's former drinkers and the 0.5% tranny contingent may drink it for a few minutes due to the novelty of a phag on a can.

Nothing like putting a turd in your customer's punch bowl. Works every time.

You mistake this for a boycott. Conservatives make decisions and fit their habits to enforce those decisions. I have been inside the local Target store once since they did the bathroom thing - I changed my buying habits and don't remember the exact details anymore of what stupid thing they did to piss me off. It's deeper than a boycott, and much more unchanging. They will not get my business back. Same for Dicks. I don't drink Bud Light, but I often drink Bud. Not only will I not drink Bud anymore, but I will also purposely look to avoid all Anheuser-Busch products. When a company decides to make a stupid social statement, I will do my best to give them the appropriate reward.

This VP needs to have a chapter written in a textbook about her and what not to do when marketing a product. It will be interesting to see how deep and how long Bud Light sales are affected, and if it spreads to other Anheuser-Busch brands.

Analyst said "They've already done enough damage in one week to disrupt year-long sales projections," a beer-sales representative who works with national beer retailers such as Costco told FOX Business.

"You don't just make up those sales. People aren't going to drink twice as much Bud Light the following weekend to recover the lost business."

They don't have to have people drink twice as much next week. They can gain it back over time. All they have to do is throw out some stupid animal commercial or stupid catch phrase and morons will forget about this.

Once you start drinking something else, the chances of switching back is low

Neighbors pulled up this evening with 2 cases of Miller Lite instead of the Michelob Ultras and informed me of their change so I can stock accordingly. They also had some Banquets for me instead of the Buds they usually keep for when I walk over

Hilarious that Case & Bucks makes a national story.

Jessico Bowman
@JessicoBowman

If you wanted to support a new beer, go Yuengling. Yuengling is the oldest beer/brewery in America and has been around since 1829.

Yuengling endorsed Trump in 2016. As a result, Democrats and LQBTQ bars boycotted Yuengling. Despite headlines from MSM, Yuengling not only survived the boycott, it thrived.

It was one of the only early American breweries to survive prohibition because it produced “near beers, ice cream, and opened dance halls.
