I didn't like him long before I knew of his politics(early 80s). If one applies a political filter to rock, there would be few acts conservatives could listen to. That's why I dont. In fact some of my favorite bands are socialists. I listen and know that while catchy, their political songs are wrong. Springsteen though is a multi multi millionaire raging against other multimillionaires supposedly on behalf of the middle to lower middle class yet he doesnt put his big money where his mouth is. I listen to bands who true to their philosophy hold prices down. In the 80s and 90s one dollar concerts, $6 CDs and recently refunds for Ticketmasters BS. Hence my point out the outrageous price of a Springsteen ticket in Austin.

My opinion is that a billionaire who laments constantly how poorly so many have it in this country, should give most of his money away. Especially when he supports politicians who would love to tax the upper middle class even more. It has to be embarrassing, unless he's calloused to how his crying about the oppressed from his castle appears.
