ETA: I wasn't a huge fanboy in period, but Born to Run and Thunder Road are two of the greatest songs in R&R history and the Nebraska album is just iconic for what it was. BitUSA and the rest of his career has been different and I certainly don't share his politics these days, but if you can't appreciate the early stuff I think you're either being unfair or perhaps have a poor ear?
of course they are. but he said mean tweets about donald j trump so the cult falls in line and he's the worst ever
pretty astounding the morning after his disaster of an address to the nation he chooses to go after bruce springsteen. he's delusional

quote:I didn't like him long before I knew of his politics(early 80s). If one applies a political filter to rock, there would be few acts conservatives could listen to. That's why I dont. In fact some of my favorite bands are socialists. I listen and know that while catchy, their political songs are wrong. Springsteen though is a multi multi millionaire raging against other multimillionaires supposedly on behalf of the middle to lower middle class yet he doesnt put his big money where his mouth is. I listen to bands who true to their philosophy hold prices down. In the 80s and 90s one dollar concerts, $6 CDs and recently refunds for Ticketmasters BS. Hence my point out the outrageous price of a Springsteen ticket in Austin.
You’re a hater a making incorrect assumptions about Springsteen’s philanthropy
quote:I am, but he can be an a-hole frequently too. I criticize him and get called names by his complete sycophants on this site because of it. That's fine. The right needs useful idiots just like your side.
you are a Trump supporter

Never liked him, so…the same.

Springsteen and DeNiro probably have 20 security guards around them 24-7 Using the stage to make their political points and everyone is never to disagree with them. Just because of who they are, they can’t be wrong.

trump is, in large part, where he is by claiming to represent the middle and lower class. a silver spoon yankee that's never wanted for anything in life yet he doesn't put his big money where his mouth is
at least bruce earned his money

I've never thought Trump was really conservative. Just some spots. He spends like a Democrat. You will still get your free shite.
quote:How he earned it is irrelevant when he preaches what he does. He should be giving away 70% of it. He'd still be a multimultimillionaire like those he detests.

Actually, he’s a billionaire and he has founded, partnered with and supported numerous charitable foundations that serve, the needy and the homeless.

So you can call me a “fanboi” and a “stooge” because I enjoy music made by some by musician whose wealth and political opinions somehow offend you personally but whine about being “called names” by posters who don’t agree with yours? Grow the frick up. This country was founded on civil discourse. And which is “my side”? I’m a Republican that voted for Trump even though I don’t like him. Maybe you are talking about the side that the woman that sleeps beside me belongs to. As liberal as they come but 35 years and going strong because we both understand that everyone is entitled to their own opinions and the right to express those opinions.

You were watching Russia Times, I guess.
Great speech setting the boundaries for the EU and the world in the Middle East going forward.
What your idiotic trolling arse referring to.

My opinion is that a billionaire who laments constantly how poorly so many have it in this country, should give most of his money away. Especially when he supports politicians who would love to tax the upper middle class even more. It has to be embarrassing, unless he's calloused to how his crying about the oppressed from his castle appears.

I’m 63 and wasn’t a fan. He had a couple ok songs. Nothing I would rank in the top 100 of any genre

Born in the USA will always be a banger album I don’t care about politics.
