As far as him as a person, he's a horrible human being.

Is that your opinion of his character based on his opinion about political issues that you don’t particularly share? Or is there something about him that the rest of the world isn’t aware of that you are?

I still feel Nebraska was an incredible album. Regardless of his politics, Highway Patrolman is one of my favorite songs. That, along with Atlantic City, Open All Night and Johnny 99...It's been closer to 45 years than it is to 40 since it was released.

never liked him...have you heard his lyrics?

Bruce Springsteen - I’m on Fire

Hey, little girl, is your daddy home?
Did he go away and leave you all alone?
I got a bad desire
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire

[Verse 2]
Tell me now, baby, is he good to you?
And can he do to you the things that I do?
Oh no, I can take you higher
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire

[Bridge]
Sometimes it's like someone took a knife, baby, edgy and dull
And cut a six-inch valley through the middle of my skull

[Verse 3]
At night, I wake up with the sheets soakin' wet
And a freight train runnin' through the middle of my head
Only you can cool my desire
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire
Oh, oh, oh, I'm on fire

I used to be a major fan of Jackson Browne in my youth. Bought every album, attended every show within reasonable driving distance, and learned many of his songs on my guitar.

That ended completely when I attended his show at Chastain Park Amphitheater in 1998. That’s when he chose to get overtly political at his concert, …. even berating his fans at times.

That ended it for me…. not another minute of my time, not another dime of my money. I imagine it’s much the same for many Springsteen fans.

The Load-Out/Stay is probably the greatest encore performance for a show of all time.

I hated him before I knew of his political leanings. Always thought he was overrated.

I hate half the bands I grew up listening to because of this. Some I really hate

It's the same way for movie stars and their movies. I try to keep the politics out of it when I'm wanting to be entertained, because unfortunately damn near all of them are in this camp. The entertainment industry, in general, is controlled by the IC. And the IC is fundamentally opposed to Trump. Their handlers feed them their opinions and the line they are toe-ing is Orange Man Bad. Nearly across the board.

So if you can't separate their political bullshite from their art, it's going to be hard to enjoy any art at all.

Same way in sports. Just saw a story about a player from Chicago that cut got from the Bulls because he denounced the LGBT shite in favor of Christ. But I've long since given up in pro sports. Music and movies are harder though.

Personally never a fan of his music although BTR did have a few good crafted songs. But his vocal style sounds like he's breaking off a golf ball sized deuce and just not the style of singing I prefer. I feel it actually takes away from the song as a whole. Early Billy Joel was the GOAT for me and far better at song writing and musicianship. I'll also say I've never idolized artists and just appreciate them for their talents. Their political views or otherwise is just noise. I can separate that from their music or acting abilities. However, the ones that continually rant and bring politics or social issues into a concert or movie I've paid my hard earned money to see come off as unstable loons.

Ever hear the Doors song “Alabama Song (Whiskey Bar)”

Or the Lynyrd Skynyrd song “What’s Your Name “?

How about the Beatles “I Feel Fine”?

Yes, yes, and yes. Traveling Riverside Blues, and many more with similar themes.

They're all gross. And I wouldn't have good things to say about any of the people who wrote any of those songs.

How much of his vast wealth does he give away? The way he speaks, surely its 70% as he'd still live better than 99.5% or more of US citizens.

I bought a couple of his albums in the late 70s and still have them. He was pretty good back then, and then he lost me as a fan with the Born in the USA album.

He’s trash now. Hey Bruce, sell your properties and give your money to the working man…you know, the ones you used to sing about.

I have no idea. Do you? I can tell you that he was a big supporter of homeless shelters and food banks every place he performed 45 years ago when he was still basically broke. But now that he’s a billionaire, I guess he’s an easy target for the haters for not just giving away all of that “vast wealth” he worked his arse off for.
