You don't have to be black to make use of "jury nullification." There are plenty of instances I can think of that I would make use of this were I to be part of a jury sitting on a case. Most notably for me would be any charges filed and tried related to ownership of a firearm (or component) that I believed to be repugnant to the Second Amendment.
Jury nullification is one very powerful way that we, the citizens of this nation, can take some control of government run amok.
