It seems they're just delaying sentencing pending the new motions (and that specific litigation) is resolved, which is SOP.

The board prides itself on vociferously contrasting itself with female and other left wing political players who "rely on emotion and not facts", and yet seem nearly impervious to hearing actual facts.

Technically, Trump hasn't officially been convicted of anything without being sentenced

It would be amazing to see him sue all those who have referred to him as a "convicted felon."

Good write up from Jonathan Turley on this:

I don't know how it could be done, but Trump needs to put in place someway to completely defund New York of all federal money. Just starve them to death until they get the message.

If they do not ask for and get a dismissal this is not a good thing for Trump.

Me personally, it is a extra-judicial means of coercion over a president similar to what a foreign power would do and since both Bragg and James have outright stated they were going to "get Trump", and since by the Trump Standard is we can prosecute on verbiage alone, which they have surpassed, this coercion should be treated as espionage and the State of NY should arrest and surrender Bragg, James, and Merchan (co-conspirator in their espionage campaign) or face military action including, but not limited to, the blockade of NYC until starvation causes the population, who overwhelmingly support Bragg over 80%, delivers them securely after removing them from office themselves.

ETA: throw in some of those landmines destined for Ukraine for the blockade too.

Want to put a wager on whether it gets 100% dropped once Trump is inaugurated?

I see no other way to read it. I've seen federal sentencing delays last more than 4 years. No reason why they won't delay this one.

One thing I don't know is if the conviction can be appealed prior to sentencing. Or if the Orange Man can pardon himself before sentencing.
