You're not wrong.

How is a father writing his son a check proof of any corruption?
I know a guy whose dad needs daily care (he is in a wheelchair) but the son lives thousands of miles away, so he pays for it via a check to his dad. The check can't go direct to the caregiver, it has to go to dad, because if he (the father) officially pays for it you get a discount for the service from the state.

So now nothing matters re: politicians personal finances except for what occurs during their formal term in office?

When did I stop talking about Joe?
Posted on 10/20/23 at 2:19 pm to Eurocat
It’s his brother the businessman who somehow took out a $200K loan from his brother who had a negative net work before 2009.

No one is mentioning father and son. Not informed, as usual.
Totally the same situation as you’re mentioning though.

Does comer have access to all the suspicious activity alerts & documents that Joe and Hunter triggered?
Posted on 10/20/23 at 2:21 pm to momentoftruth87
You want to explain how this is any kind of political influence?
It's just like the NBC guy calling them out for their "evidence" from 2017 also claiming political influence...& then they tried to dismiss his objection to THEIR "evidence".

Yes really. Influence peddling isnt illegal. If they can prove bribery in office thats a different story. I'm failing to see how this check is moving the needle. Instead of lol....enlighten me.

Don’t have a clue, but there is very little that he wouldn’t be able to get access to, if it exists somewhere.

No idea. But there isn’t a father-son relationship involved in the subject of this thread.
Are there people who actually even consider a situation where this wasn’t blatant influence peddling? Even if your response is that they all do it and nothing should be done—it’s still blatantly obvious influence peddling.
It’s suuuuuuch a bad look to pretend like this has the trappings of a legitimate financial arrangement.
At the very least they are ducking not insignificant tax liability.

No big deal. "Joe was gonna use it as a Jesus fund. Do great things with it. Why the nationalist hate?"

Not a universally true statement.
Plus tax evasion is illegal.
And you think this is the only such payment? The guy has like 4 houses

You want to explain why his brother is giving him 200k in one check, regardless of time?
The why isn't your business or anyone in Congress for that matter.
If they're are serious about discovering truth, subpoena James Biden and have him provide proof that he received $200k or more in loans from Joe.
Posted on 10/20/23 at 2:26 pm to Eurocat
James is Joe's brother... you know. The wealthy businessman.
Seems kinds strange that hard scrabble Joe from Scranton who is broke on paper is lending his rich brother 200K, especially when business associates have testified that Joe gets kickbacks on James and Hunters overseas deals.

Please go back and see the post I was responding to. I didn't bring Jared up.

So when does blatantly obvious influence peddling become a problem? Surely you don’t take the position that the beneficiary has to be in their formal term of office for said payments to be improper or illegal?
