What's this got to do with anything?
Nothing, and he never said that it did.

That's a true statement regardless of what's happening at Redstone Arsenal.

Been working...Cliff Notes please.
Lock down for 2 1/2 hours over possible active shooter. Base is back open and people are being told to avoid 1 area. No confirmation but the speculation is it was a domestic dispute, wife shot husband.

That's what I was told too.

Unfortunately most companies will terminate you immediately if you are in possession of a firearm at work. All it takes is for one whiney hand wringer to suspect you have one on your person and make a phone call to HR.

Or when the SWAT team does their rounds floor by floor, building by building - having 30 extra wanna-be rambo's with pistols doesn't make their jobs easier. Not to mention you run the risk of getting your dumb brains splattered everywhere.
But sure, you have your gun out looking for the shooter when SWAT rolls up to your floor. You do you, compadre.

That's the building I work in.
Still no details. But, everyone I know was OK.

How many guns do you own, and how often do you practice with them?

Wait. A Want and I both work on Redstone.
I wonder if we know each other.

From a statistical standpoint, it's fairly amazing that 4 people on this board work at redstone.

With as many of you working there as there apparently are, I wonder if I know any of you as well.
I worked over at PEO Aviation for a couple years before going to OCS. Born and raised in Huntsville, and most of my friends work on Redstone.

Well. I'm not going to say exactly which section I work in. But, if you worked in PEO Aviation, then you were in Sparkman..........so, you can kinda narrow it down.

At least, it's amazing that 4 active posters do.

Oh this was back in 2004-2005. We were out at that building on Wood Road in the middle of nowhere back then. I'm assuming they got moved to the Sparkman Center?

My brother in law works at Redstone, and my sister has to go to the Arsenal for work from time to time, glad I got an email from her this morning that they were both ok.
Posted on 6/27/17 at 2:33 pm to ShortyRob
PEO Aviation HQ is still not in the Sparkman. I thought only Apache and Utility was in there.
Posted on 6/27/17 at 2:35 pm to ShortyRob
Ya, I worked in the Apache PM as a systems analyst.
Horribly boring job, although it did give me great insight in to how messed up the DoD's acquisition process is.
