If anybody has seen Kindergarten Cop, it would make sense why it would be a good time to target something when a "drill" is expected.

They actually announce their drills beforehand?

I'm involved in this kind of thing where I work and the only people that know when drills are going to be held is security.

It totally takes away the effectiveness of the drill.

Damn...didn't realize how many posters here worked on the Arsenal.

Got a ton of friends and family that work there, but thankfully they've pretty much all checked in as ok.

Stay safe folks.

Thanks for the concern. Well be fine. This is the last place anyone should attempt some sort of attack.

Thats true. Didnt the FBI move their bomb tech school from Quantico to there?

No casualties being treated at this point.

One rumor is it might be a woman. Doesn't sound like typical terrorist-type situation... but that just rumor. I doubt we know any more than you guys do via tv.

WTF with, my pen or pencil. Too bad guns aren't allowed by all others being told to fight someone who does have one.
First you attempt to run.

If you can't run, you hide.

If you can't hide, you fight any way you can.

as usual, your side only cares about assigning or deflecting blame.

Substance - is irrelevant.

Someone on the OT just posted:

My wife works for the AFB here in Ga and has been in communication with a former co-worker who works at the installation who is on lockdown. I cannot verify the information but relaying what was told to my wife that there are 13 wounded and it is a hostage situation as of right now

Another posted that they have seen ambulances.

Sort of weird to pick out one wacky post and assign it as being representative of a "side".

Point taken. Many employers don't allow carry on their premises.

Mine being one of them.

Why not just carry anyway but only pull it out in situations like today? Yeah, if you kill the terrorist you could be fired later but at least you'd be alive to find another job

I'm in the building complex next to the Sparkman Center. We're on lockdown too but our building has guards on nearly every door. Crazy shite.

She is local, so I would have to believe it is CST. (I had to check for Bama )

Sounds like a "weapon sighting". Spokesman said it might be lifted soon.

Just heard spokesman say that it was "in 2 hours, one o'clock" on taped interview, so definitely CST.
