One of the very popular opinions here is that women should lose the right to vote.
Not really. A few people say this a lot. It's mostly trolling.
quote:
But objectively, there's really no way to characterize that as a "moderate" opinion.
It is definitely factual that our country has gotten gradually worse due to the increased involvement of women in politics. Not really a moderate or extreme position. It's just reality. If women don't figure out they need to vote better, they're going to vote away their own right to vote regardless.
quote:
The newest Trump tariffs are not moderate policies. DOGE is not a moderate policy. Withdrawing from NATO isn't a moderate policy. Ceasing to support Israel as a foreign ally isn't a moderate policy.
All of this is false. These are all moderate policies. You description of "support Israel as a foreign ally" is a little misleading though. There is a difference between keeping them as a foreign ally and supporting them financially. Your comment seems to conflate the two.
quote:
Ask the board what their compromise is on those issues.
The overwhelming majority of people on this board, myself included, DID compromise to come to the conclusion that these policies are what will work best for the country. Especially the tariffs.

You can find the majority of them posting from their mom's basement couch on the O-T Call of Duty keyboard warrior Ukraine thread.

quote:its not specific to one person. It's society that has basically told men they are the problem. Pick any issue and ultimately it's men who caused it.Go watch idiots like the view telling people men are worthless with not only zero pushback..but actual howls of laughter. How the frick did toxic masculinity even enter our language? It was all 100% on purpose.
When have you specifically wanted to be with only other men and were told you couldn’t
Ask 100 young women on the street if they need men and 75 will say no. Ask 100 men if they need women and 90 will say yes.
This is the result of 3rd wave feminism and it's destroying young men's lives

know the board likes to believe women are responsible for all societal ills, but the reality is men own most of the business, run most of the government and posses most of the capital
The vast majority of men have zero power yet are constantly told they are predators, worthless, and the root of all problems.

Yeah, it’s so incredibly hard for young people to straddle themselves with college debt. I guess there aren’t enough loans available.

The role of men and women today is not what was intended. It’s the reason for many of our problems as a society and certainly the reason for high divorce rates.

You are awesome too for it, I saw this late and everyone was fighting about sex at the time so I didn't back trace the conversation.

Women initiate over 80% of divorces. Women are the reason for the high divorce rate.

Notes on the article. (thanks to cubbies and Lee)
Seems to be a significant amount of "We need to make men think we care before they block our progressive efforts" thought going on in that article.
To read this through the eyes of someone already convinced that the left has it in for him (And some on the left do)
Reduce the amount of money men get paid for working more hours on more dangerous jobs.
Ensure that young men get promoted less often in spite of longer hours.
Ensure women can kill men's kids at will.
More men in lower paid roles, more mental policing of unacceptable male thoughts, more men taking care of kids so women can work more.
Ah yes lets degrade fatherhood more...
I guess these guys keep their balls in their hand purse.
So Brave, the idea that men could benefit from a male experience... How about the awful idea that an experience that puts men first would be better for men, like how experiences that put women first are all the rage.
Uh yea... because it's illegal to keep the gays out now.
Who attacks kids in a single sex environment... only gays.
Wait you just said...
This article is written to still seem socially acceptable to women and liberals.
They know they are losing men, this half arse pretend bravery will convince no one.
Many men 20-40 will say fck you I'm not going back to a boys club.

Doing more for boys and men does not mean doing less for girls and women, of course. There is plenty of work to do, for example, in tackling the gender pay gap, increasing the representation of women in leadership roles (especially in big tech) and widening access to reproductive health care.

There is a certainly a large role here for public policy: more male teachers, more apprenticeships, male-friendly mental health services, longer paid leave for fathers.

quote:
As former President Barack Obama said recently, “As a society, we have to create more structures for boys and men to have guidance, rituals, frameworks, encouragement.” He went further, suggesting that the men in our communities are vital assets who can act as a “sort of elders to boys, so they’re not just looking at one particular role model, but many.”
Ah yes lets degrade fatherhood more...

It takes a village to raise a child. But some of the villagers must be men.
I guess these guys keep their balls in their hand purse.
quote:
But it is naïve to think that a society bereft of male-centered institutions is the ideal one for helping boys to become good men. Indeed, there is some suggestive evidence for positive outcomes for boys attending single-sex public schools, like Eagle Academy in New York, for example.
So Brave, the idea that men could benefit from a male experience... How about the awful idea that an experience that puts men first would be better for men, like how experiences that put women first are all the rage.
quote:
One hindrance to male volunteering is the fear of being seen as a potential predator. This has also reduced the enthusiasm among some parents for single-sex environments. The abuse scandals that rocked the Catholic Church and Boy Scouts understandably led many parents to worry about their children in male-oriented organizations.

Was feminism about destroying boys?
In 1960, 5% of children were born out of wedlock. Today its over 40%. In the black community, it went from 20% to 70%.
Congrats feminists I guess

My tom cat is neutered, he doesn't hear bad things either.
Why would you believe men who would put up with you are anywhere near "representative"?
Go look up "anecdotal evidence", contemplate what you read, and then come back when you have a competently structured argument.
There, I treated you exactly how I treat incompenet guys.
