same people that think monopolies are bad when talking about social media, but are ok when talking about ISP's and net neutrality.

Sounds like a generalization, unless you have specific individuals in mind?

They have as much of a duty to protect your speech as much as they gheys do in demanding dildo cakes from a baker.

Its only a generalization because I dont have a list of the individual posters in front of me that had no problem with an ISP monopoly.

MySpace was HUGE... until it wasn't.

AOL was massive! Until it wasn't.

Facebook will run into the same issue, I know I've been weening off it and plan on completely getting off it in the near future when I move.

I actually agree. From what I can see it has not happened on US soil but people have been arrested in other countries for posting or liking on facebook, ie: the UK. I also feel because Facebook actively assists law enforcement in order to catch criminals as well as censoring fake news, that this can violate a group's right to assembly on the platform.

Isn't this pretty much every Trumpkin? The emperor said it so it must be so.

... some of the more vocal supporters of net neutrality repeal will probably oppose this tbh.

It was the anti net neutrality people screaming "keep the government far away from my internet!" that are now screaming "We need the government to control our internet!"

They're hilariously transparent and myopic

Well, then it's not the same people without making huge generalizations...

I would agree if they did not assist law enforcement or the gov in any way. But they do.

Yes. *I* could. But the majority of people in this country live and breathe all of these platforms and aren't savvy to this manipulation.

You do not demand that the government transform a company because you do not like its policies.
Imagine if Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile suddenly decide that your phone conversations were hate speech or of a particular political bent that they don't like and then they all cut you off from using their networks?

Facebook, Twitter and Google are all doing that now.

I don’t have Facebook or twitter. I can’t see why if you don’t like it get rid of it. If my political views go against cnn. Don’t watch! Or if you don’t like rush don’t listen. Is it that hard to get off Facebook?

No, they are telling the government to break up monopolies so that we can regain control of the internet.

Only socialists, communists, and state capitalists support monopoly and oligopoly. Both are poison to the free market. If you oppose Google being broken up you are not a capitalist.
