Are we playing the principles game or the politics game?
Cassidy was voted in as a response to “moderate” Democrat Mary Landrieu’s betrayal of 75% of her state which she sold not for 30 peices of gold, but 30 cents and status in the liberal wing of the party.
Cassidy has shown his true colors too many times to think we would fall for him being in support of Trump’s agenda.
Yes, Trump is political and plays the political games, but mostly he has a consistent agenda which aligns with the majority opinion of Louisianans. And he plays politics in support of the agenda.
Cassidy has to slink around and pretend that he supports the majority position of his state.
So now, Cassidy is going to hold up the confirmation of the nominated AG? For what? Petty vengeance? Personal butt hurt? Trump Derangement Syndrome?
How will he spin this? He probably won’t try and won’t care. He’s got the mark of Cain and will have to move east of Eden when he gets out of public office.
