I stand corrected. I knew we sent troops to Vladivostok, did not realize we sent them to the Northern Front as well

Ditto.

Can we say “White Army” now when we talk about the Russian Civil War? I don’t want to offend anyone.

One better, if Grandma Karen's would have elected MacArthur instead of blindly voting for a crippled health failing Roosevelt, We could have solved the China/Russia problem all before the end of 1948.

None of those German scientist would have fallen into communist hands.

FDR was a communist. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Churchill was not friendly with Stalin while FDR was like an old buddy.

Speaking of which, I had the opportunity to meet one of their surviving Aces at a 50 Year VE Day gathering...flew on both fronts shot down over Moscow on 2 different occasions.

Sure, but Marx wasn't born yet, much less communism.

When we found out that the Soviets and China wanted nukes, we should have given them a few.

The world would be a better place.

Exactly he's the one that allied with them. His wife and first vice president were commies too.

He is babbling about a handful of troops who secured a northern Russian port during WW ONE.

I don't know, but now I want a White Russian. Is that acceptable?

"The Korean War in Color" is an excellent documentary that covers the strategies and blunders that opened the door to the Korean War. It's free on YouTube.

Truman was weak both at the start and at the end albeit Korea wasn't exactly the center of America's strategic positions.

We tried to intervene after ww1
It was DURING World War One, but AFTER commencement of the Russian Civil War and withdrawal of Russian troops as active combatants against the Central Powers.

Basically, we tried to assist the Provisional Government against the Reds, but we did not try very hard.

Who's "We", Herr Panzerfuhrer?

The US did invade during the Russian Civil War, but our troops were all the way in Vladivostok and up in Arkhangelsk, 770 miles from Moscow.
