Oddly, the picture and the story begin with beautiful Elmina castle...built by the Portuguese for the slave trade. At it's height, an estimated 30,000 slaves passed through its walls each year.

It's been my experience that African Americans (US Blacks) and Africans tend not to get along. The latter are far more culturally conservative and view the former as lazy and entitled.

This will be an interesting experiment. Will the Americans be accepted there?

There is no vast social welfare net in Ghana and the standard of living is meager compared to the US. Annual GDP/capita is a mere $1,800/year.

These folks are about to experience true poverty. Perhaps not personally if they have some savings that will allow them to live among the wealthy class...even though that isn't particularly wealthy by US standards.

Good. We are moving to Panama to escape neoliberalism.

Also it is cheaper to live on the beach with good weather and is absolutely drama free.

Sorry, but if you say you were a socialite, then you weren't.

Absolutely not. The ex-slaves who went to Liberia in the 1800's established a ruling class of their own there and subjugated the native Liberians until a 1980 coup overthrew William Tolbert, who was a descendant of Virginia and South Carolina slaves.

I'd rather white progressives leave than black folks.

Problem won’t be the wealth coming with them as much as the ability to earn while there.

She think she is going to be able to just set up a hut in the middle of nowhere and telecommute to a job in the US?

Unfortunately, that's not enough. Too many of these people are political stool pigeons. That's why we get too excited when we see one think for themselves and walk off the plantation.

Yet somehow, we're racists.

Clown.

Apparently that’s what she’s doing. She does therapy via the internet.

Watch the video.

Sincere question. Do blacks ever wonder for one second why they're shown contempt across the globe throughout the entirety of history?

What do they tell themselves at night? That humans really have some evil fixation with pigment level?

Surely not. Right?

As noted, they will be back. As soon as they realize that they won't be receiving welfare checks, food stamps, subsidized housing, free meals at schools, "free" medical treatment, quotas, or stimulus checks. That looters & shoplifters & car jackers will be shot.

Ghana is actually pretty nice for an African country. What they don't realize, however, is that no one gives AF about racism there so they'll be in poor company

When black people from Africa start giving them shite over how lazy and spoiled they are, they get very upset.

Honestly, a lot of that when dealing with many Caribbean islanders from anywhere but Haiti too.

In less than a year, and they will act like nothing happened on social media.

Yep. There’s video of her in front of her computer with a book titled, “ Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome”. I shite you not.

Apparently she’s a professional victim that treats other chronic victims.
