I used to like bill nye the science guy, when I was a kid. It sucks that he has become such a piece of shite, that now that I'm an adult, I can't stand his lib rhetoric.

Bill nailed it
Actually, he boomed himself. He proves that he’s done no examination of the benefits that modern energy sources have done for civilization.

Proof that he is fricking insane
I knew what that was going to be before I clicked.

He's just a typical, vulgar liberal jerk. He seems convinced that he has some super cool image, and he keeps screaming and cursing for attention.

Calling people idiots isn't getting people to believe you, Bill.

In fact, I hate you more than ever now...

Cheers!

The science-deniers who are willfully ignorant about the very real threat of man-made climate change, such as the OP, are almost childlike in their head-in-the-sand attitude about any problem they don't want to have to deal with. I remember the science-denying idiots years ago who argued against doing anything to protect the ozone layer too. Thank God those frat-boy-like morons lost THAT argument. Hopefully, the current batch of childish, frat-boy science-denying types, like lying Donald, will lose this argument as well.

Can you tell me what the impact of a Green New Deal type of approach would be on AGW based on the climate change models?

If you don't know the answer to that you are the uneducated one...

Just like you rightwing religious fanatics who are ramming your beliefs down the throats of women. Your rank hypocrisy knows no limits.

Poooor poor people. Nye is completely unaware of the classes below him. He's a clownish clown in clown world.

Exactly, so stop bitching when we slap tariffs on goods produced by nations who pollute 10x worse than we do.

If we slapped tariffs on goods for this purpose republicans would oppose them and dems support them.

Fact.

I’ll explain it like I would for a 4th grader because... well...

The benefits of modern energy sources are huge. Without them we would have deforested most of the planet by now. We’d still be reliant on horses for transportation. We’d have no plastics or modern chemistry. Most medicines would not exist. Basically we’d be living as we did in the early 1800s.

Given those benefits, at the cost so low... that we can’t definitively quantify it from the atmospheric noise of weather.... would lead any sensible person to conclude that the “cost” is negligible compared to the massive benefits.

“Everything has a cost”. Indeed. And in his case it’s very, very low. Even if one believes in AGW.
