Might it in part be explained in scripture (2 Thessalonians 2:10-11)?

And then again -- I wouldn't discount actual demon possession. ALL of Rittenhouse's assailants were committed to lifestyles of violence and other crimes of abomination. (Not coincidentally, Bill DeBlasio with his inverted sense of good and evil, lies and worship of abortion also fits into the SAME category as Rittenhouse's assailants).
