Big Corn is a problem that doesn’t get talked about enough…

Another boondoggle that can’t be unraveled because of the electoral issues but is totally f*cking us over.
Ethanol is terrible for engines and a major driver in why cars and small
Motors don’t last as long
Big Corn is also a reason all of our food sucks. How does Mexico have way better tasting Coca Cola and a lot cheaper. Big Corn pretty much forces HFCS on everyone and pumps that shite into all of our food and drinks we consume.

I buy real gas. It's up over $5.50 a gallon right now.
I'm glad everyone else buys that corn alcohol, it'd probably be over $6 a gallon otherwise.

I beg to differ. Supersweet sweet corn from American gardens is the bomb.

I have a graveyard of small engines because of it. It sickens me. The problem is that the government (Obama) instituted it and billions were invested in it. To do away with it now would bankrupt farmers and those sucking up the subsidies. It is a problem that most politicians would see as career suicide.

The act that standardized 10% ethanol blends was signed by Bush 2, not Obama. And it was a thing even before that.

Yep, I get about 1.5 mpg more with real gas.
It's not enough to make up the cost difference, but it does offset it a little and given the other benefits I figure real gas is worth it in the end. Real gas is usually about 80 cents more around me, so it's about $15 extra on a fill up.
If I do have to get the ethanol gas for some reason, I make sure it's top tier(not higher octane, that is different). It has additives that will help a little.
For people who run the ethanol, if you have a rough idle you can use some throttle bottle and air intake cleaner on your intake and it'll probably clear it up. Carbon builds up with ethanol. Top tier additives help prevent it.
