Attorney General Liz Murrill announced that the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of Louisiana and six other states challenging the Biden administration’s energy-efficiency standards for stoves, ovens and other cooking appliances.

The Fifth Circuit found the Department of Energy broke the law by refusing to withdraw the rule after the States raised concerns about its impact on consumers. The court found DOE failed to fairly include the States in developing the rule and failed to adequately consider whether the new requirements would make appliances less reliable and more costly. The court ultimately sided with the States and set the rule aside.

Trump is already working to roll those back according to my contractor today. He’s holding off on installing a couple air conditioners at a different job until the next year because of it he said.

Sounds like it got boinked on a technicality but I'll take it.

quote:

A federal appeals court on Tuesday struck down a Biden administration-era rule setting efficiency standards for gas and electric stoves and ovens, saying the agency ?improperly bypassed public comment procedures.

quote:

Circuit Judge Andrew Oldham said the Energy Department should not have fast-tracked ?the rule, knowing that numerous states opposed a 2023 attempt to enact similar efficiency ?standards.

He also dismissed the rule as part of a push by former President Joe Biden's administration to make home appliances "more expensive and less useful."

And residential dishwashers.
They run a 4 hour cycle to save a quart of water.

Trump should have overturned all of this last year

There’s a lot of things Trump should have initiated last year.

Let’s start with:

Prosecutions of election fraud in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona for starters.

Prosecution of deep state actors who targeted unjustified conservatives.

I’ll stop there and let others add to the list. Frankly, I’m tired.

I asked an AC guy about this recently. He said most of the companies started moving forward on the changes already and he doesn't believe they would go back.

They need to dump these regulations on SRV monitoring with the garbage equipment they want you to install.

10-30 million for some bullshite at a local facility.

That's just install. Not maintenance.

Too expensive at this point to stop the phase down of R-410A in favor of R-32 and R-454B (A2L's). In addition to the equipment changes, which are rather minimal, it's the production of A2L's and service equipment changes too. Unless they allow R-22 again their isn't much to gain allowing 4-10A again.
