And there is no greater juxtaposition than the kindness and humanity of Joe Biden than the, you know, awful, inhumane, bully that is Ron DeSantis,” said Jennifer Holdsworth, a Democratic political consultant.

I thought he was already doing this when he stopped shipments of monoclonal antibodies to Florida before everywhere else.

As for this specific "rally" how soon does he bring up Beau and compare him to DeSantis since Beau was Army JAG and DeSantis was Navy JAG.

You can see what they are doing. They know that if they can get the white women to think of the Republican - be it DeSantis or Trump - as a mean guy, and Joe as a sweet guy, they will win again. Trump would walk right into that trap.
I remember when Reagan was debating Carter. My dad got pissed at Reagan because he kept smiling and referring to Carter respectfully as Mr. President. Dad thought he should have eviscerated him, like Trump would have. Reagan understood that he didn't need to convince guys like dad; he needed to convince the independents who were being told Reagan was a monster. Reagan won in a walk, then got 60% of the vote, and 49 states, in his reelection.
The Republicans need an avuncular candidate who easily refutes the "Monster" charge. When DeSantis wins the nomination he should pivot back to the middle. Talk about how troubled he is that women can't choose; talk about bringing America together and reaching across the aisle. Then when he's elected, do what he was going to do anyway.
