Hand on the Bible, I know a Mechanical Engineer that thought that the hot water at his house was a separate system from his cold water and believed there was a hot water pump to push water to his faucet.
He also didn't understand how ice was forming on cryogenic piping in the summer time.

What is a climate scientist?
I would argue in perpetuity that anyone with a technical background, who has the skills and abilities to critically think and analyze data, who can read, study the subject, etc. can provide thoughtful and reasoned opinions on the subject.
How do I know? That’s what I do. That’s why I know with a high degree of certainty that anthropogenic emissions of carbon dioxide have negligible effect on the climate. Likewise, manmade climate change is a hoax perpetrated by those in power to maintain control over the people.
There is no scientific consensus. There is no data to support the anthropogenic climate change hypothesis or theory. There are over 200 computer models that predict a catastrophic future. None have been validated with real data. None. Who funds the computer models and climate research? Governments.
Are any of these facts presented to the public via media? No. You know why.
If I was a journalist, African American studies student, community organizer, etc. I wouldn’t have the ability to logically analyze this or any other technical subject.
So bill nye has the technical capacity theoretically to evaluate the subject, but he wouldn’t be fawned over and celebrated and be popular with the ruling class.
Just read and listen to Joe Bastardi, for one, and you will see he doesn’t get any coverage for the most part because of his skepticism.
