a lot of people predicted it during the pandemic. Lots of economists, and even some PT board members, predicted it would be an effect of Trump and Fauci shutting down the economy in 2020.

Good grief. And people will believe it. We have been kicking the bad inflation can down the road for years. Way before COVID.
You cannot overspend on credit like our government has been doing for 20 years and not get bad inflation. They know good and damn well that it was coming and they were the cause of it.
