I think in terms of "least worst" when I compare politicians.
As I was contemplating the answer scrolling this thread, your post caught my eye and I was forced to say Rick Perry or W. Least worst.
I don’t know enough about Mark White or Bill Clements to comment on their tenures.

hard to believe that Fob was a running back at Auburn too

I'm fairly young and I'm pretty sure Mike Foster is the only good governor in my lifetime.

Bobby Jindal was ahead of his time. Smart people running this state are like tits on a boar hog.

Kirk Fordice, Mississippi. He simply kicked arse and gave zero fricks.

Wallace had a “Kitchen Cabinet” of power brokers who supported him including the Ford dealer in Huntsville. Montgomery people wondered why Wallace’s limo had Huntsville plates.

I loved George Wallace. Just because.

George Wallace wasn't my Governor but he was impressive and James Carville said he was the best.
As for La., Huey Long was a socialist but he did invent the LSU football team. It was crap before him. Hell, Centenary College beat them.

maybe even Zell Miller. Ol' Zell came around quite a bit in his later years.
My gramps was from GA and I have never heard him say a bad thing about this guy. Swears he would of made a great president.

Mike Foster was best and Edwin Edwards was worst fillowed by Blanco. Jindall was a disappointment no doubt.

I actually loved Bobby Jindal. Left wingers absolutely hate it when a brown man gets out of their lane and dares to be a Republican. Watching rage filled Dems absolutely seethe for 8 years because a POC didn't know their place (the Democrat party) was awesome.
