Let me first say that I’m not a skyscreaming liberal who is anti-Trump, even though I don’t particularly like him as a person regardless of his politics. I’m just curious who people think would have the best chance to beat him in ‘20 even if it’s someone who is not likely to run. I don’t think Biden or Sanders can do it.

Would have to be a moderate to beat him. Biden beat trump handily in current polls. It's close with all the other candidates. I think Biden is the only one that can, and to do so he would have to appease everyone and avoid saying something stupid (which has been hard for him in his previous 3 failed runs)

Nobody is beating Trump. He’s doing right by Americans and luckily there aren’t enough Anti Americans in this country yet to over take him.

Gabbard would have the best shot but no way in hell she wins the Dem nomination.

Does this take into consideration the electoral map? Hillary won the popular vote, after all.

Fake polls, fake media, fake narratives. Even the average stupid American can see how fake the left is when it comes to Trump. Still going to be a large number of people who will silently pull the lever for Trump to avoid the sjw BS.

My guess is Biden. the key to a Democratic victory is winning back the handful of states that comprised the Blue Wall. I suspect Biden would be tough to beat in places like PA and Wisconsin.

Biden certainly would appeal to the broadest swath of the electorate. And, I believe if he's the Dem nominee, the mainstream media will shield the public from embarrassing actions and/or gaffes by Biden, and magnify Trump's faux pases and amplify the Alabama abortion law to the extent of casting a pall on all 2020 GOP candidates.

The mythical candidate would have to be a fiscally conservative, successful businessman without the "me too" baggage that also was socially liberal enough to bring in more liberal states like MN/MI while not alienating the southern conservatives.

So basically no one currently running

The Progressive wing of the Dem Party is so radical that a Dem Moderate can't get the nomination even with a stealth-Moderate campaign. Dems best shot to hold power is to allow the House Dems who were elected as 'moderates'...to vote with Trump on critical issues like Infrastructure and Immigration Reform. Otherwise, they lose the House and POTUS. But that won't happen; the Progs are too crazy.

Andrew Yang. everybody receiving 1000 a month every month from the government will turn a lot of government entitlement voters heads. but only if the mainstream media allows his platform to be heard
