It’s a crisis that poor people and blacks don’t have access to credit

It’s a crisis that amazon steps in and offers credit

They want these corporations to give those high-risk customers the same rates that people with good credit get, duh!

The creditors will just have to trust that these people won't screw them over, even though their history doesn't favor that. Those big evil corporations will be just fine if a few hundred thousand people don't pay them back, they have tons of money! It's not fair, people shouldn't have to EARN good credit!!

Bernie got this board defending Amazon. Lol

Quite being purposefully dishonest, it is unbecoming. The card issuer here is irrelevant, and just so happens to be Amazon. But then again you already knew that.

OK... your rate will be 15%. Your annual fee will be $175.00. Interest will start accruing from the instant the charge posts to your card. Your limit is $300.00.

A slightly different version of that is how Islamic banks get around the riba rules.

Giving credit at less than a reasonable rate for the risk is just disguised welfare

At best.

At worst it’s financial suicide. But these people have no concept of basic financial logic.

If it was another company it would barely be mentioned.

Damn, that's yet another Board Consensus Vote I missed.

Nobody said consensus.

Don’t get tired building that strawman.

It's entirely plausible for Amazon to be doing something less than noble or generous and for it to still be none of Bernie Sanders' damn business.
