Joe can’t hammer guests otherwise people will stop coming on the podcast. It isn’t investigative journalism....just a guy interviewing interesting people.
He’s not a conservative but isn’t a leftist dingbat either

Yeah, I like Rogan but he is not especially intelligent. You can often hear him missing the point entirely.
But you are right, just being exposed to as many interesting people as he is gives him a broad knowledge base.
Generally, he gives people room to articulate their points, which is much better than listening to a host who just wants to build strawmen.
He's not really afraid of confrontation, but in a lot of instances he just isn't smart enough to challenge someone as he is really doing well just to keep up.

Rogan likes to hunt. He's been on Meat Eater 3 or 4 times.

Let me know when he kicks the bucket. Then I’ll care...

Oh really? So the part where he just rails on her on climate change and won't relent at all, meanwhile, she keeps saying she's not an expert on the topic and doesn't feel comfortable discussing it....that's not going hard on her? It was like 20 minutes of him badgering her.
Thats his show, he does that to anyone who says something that can't back with facts. He calls people out on their bullshite, right or left. The interview was over 2 hours and 30 minutes the vast majority went pretty smooth. I do agree with Joe you can't say you don't believe in something but can't express why you don't. I'm sure she brushed up on her Global warming knowledge after this interview.

I’m about halfway through it. I’ll give you all a synopsis
JR: Bernie, what about xxx, how would you fix that
BS: well I would blah blah blah, they don’t do this in other countries, Mitch McConnell
JR: wow, that’s awesome man. What about xxx, what would you do about that?
BS: well the lobbyists and pharma companies blah blah blah
JR: that’s great man
Rinse and repeat for 30 minutes so far
Rogan has offered 0 pushback. LOL at the people who thought he would
Bernie wants to tax Wall Street trades. He fails to see that that will be passed onto the customer, who will be paying a tax on their investments, which they already pay taxes on.

First real question. “I think that healthcare is a human right. Is that radical?”
“No”
WTF. I am either going to force somebody perform something they went to school and paid for themselves to do it for free or take somebody else’s money to pay them to do it.
Hell yes that’s radical. Rights are things people can’t take away from you, not what you think should be given to you.

Dude Rogan spent half his life getting his head walloped with kicks as a young man.
He's now 51, doubt he has his full faculties at this stage in his life.

He really isn't. Nice guy and his show can be interesting depending on the guests, though.

He's just fun to listen to with his Ayahuasca stuff and Ancient aliens and MMA stuff.
But general history and politics elude him.

To be fair, most people aren’t experts of all things. Joe does a pretty good job of researching topics. I’d say he’s way smarter than the average person

I think he's smart because he listens to people and is open-minded to all things...for sure.
But he's not learned on certain areas.
Interesting guy. Dropped out of college considering it a waste of time.
But he asks better questions that are outside the established realm of accepted knowledge.

while I agree with you in general, we do that for many other things (schools, etc.), and people are OK with that.

Nobody in America should have to stay sick or die because they can’t afford to go to the doctor (including mental health).
Bernie is right about a couple of things. A lot of the inner city plight could be improved with more affordable secondary education, decriminalization of some drugs, and more affordable healthcare.
Anyone on either side of the aisle that thinks that the extremely high prescription drug and college costs isn’t due to corporate greed is naive.
You can partially agree with someone of the opposing party without being a sellout to yours.
Right is right. Wrong is wrong.
