no it wouldn't. It would ensure that half of the wealth wof billionaires would flee our nation and we'd all be poorer for it.
So basically Illinois

Lol I know... but on one hand he is bragging about cutting their wealth in half, but his plan needs funding from them. I’m just pointing out the paradox here. He actually needs billionaires to stay wealthy in order to keep the revenue flowing.

Why would they stay here?

So, let’s do the math. Let’s say Bernie is correct on the amount each tax would raise.
.4
.52
.3
.07
.04
.25
.0336
.1
.035
That is a total of 1.7486 trillion. Bernie’s own estimates for Medicare for all is 3.2 trillion a year. Where is the other 1.4514 Trillion coming from?

Killing private business is step one for a communist
But this plan is next level retarded
He is going to fund everything with a tax on trading. Trading that will completely cease to exist because of his policies and leave zero tax dollars.
Bernard is a true piece of shite and his supporters are true pieces of shite

Dude talks like REAL investors don't think .5 or 1% matters. Which, is typical for a man who has NEVER worked in a real job.
But, um, 1% of EVERY bond trade? I mean, holy frick. In today's rate environment?
Which hell, brings me to another point. Liberals LOVE themselves some static numbers
But, uh...…...1 percent on every bond in TODAY'S yield environment is a fricking arse raping. Maybe not in 1982, but today? LOL. frick him.

And then after spending all the billionaire’s money, we move to all the millionaire’s money, then we move down too.....

It would start with a 1 percent tax on net worth above $32 million for a married couple. That means a married couple with $32.5 million would pay a wealth tax of just $5,000.
The tax rate would increase to 2 percent on net worth from $50 to $250 million, 3 percent from $250 to $500 million, 4 percent from $500 million to $1 billion, 5 percent from $1 to $2.5 billion, 6 percent from $2.5 to $5 billion, 7 percent from $5 to $10 billion, and 8 percent on wealth over $10 billion. These brackets are halved for singles.
Under this plan, the wealth of billionaires would be cut in half over 15 years which would substantially break up the concentration of wealth and power of this small privileged class.”
If you think income tax is a boondoggle, I can't wait to hear how they plan on calculating and documenting the net worth for every single American with any iota of accuracy. They think rich people are good at hiding income? Just wait till they have a need to hide assets too.

So no Trump support but no Dem support?

quote:so, what you're telling me is that Bernie has a plan that in order to stay afloat, will require confiscating half the wealth of a certain category of people and, he will SUCCEED in doing this in 15 year.
Under this plan, the wealth of billionaires would be cut in half over 15 years which would substantially break up the concentration of wealth and power of this small privileged class.”
ONLY FIFTEEN!
OK. Then what? I mean, he isn't going to cancel his programs in 15 years. Who knows, half again?
That seems like something that has been tried before in the world.

I support Trump. I may not agree with everything he does but I will vote for him. I voted for him over Hillary in 2016.
