In my opinion, the Left has transitioned from PROTESTING THE MAN to PROTECTING THE MAN.
They were never really about free speech. It was an interim position until they took power. Leftism is autocratic.

Pump the brakes. How did we go from Berkeley to Arkansas in 2 moves?
Go visit those three and you will understand.
The policies that destroyed Berkeley are widespread being deployed in Austin. Then take a trip to Fayetteville where they are importing homeless, and attempting to implement the Austin plan.
Fayetteville is about as woke and filled with the horrors of academia brainwashing as anywhere in America.

Which is why my family there resides in Farmington.

Berkeley was the center of The Free Speech Movement in 1964.

Last time I was there, I played Harding Park golf course in SF. The city allows the homeless to park their dilapidated RVs on the road outside the course to live. The entire round we walked and it was hundreds and hundreds of RVs with shitty blankets and drapes thrown all over them and busted tires. It was directly across from San Fran St university. I can’t imagine sending my kids there knowing about 300 homeless heroin addicts live directly on campus
ETA: Looks like Los Angeles is trying a similar program

I read an article where concerned parents had banded together and hired their own security firm to watch out for their kids.
I looked up the security at the University......they spend FAR more on their diversity dept than they do security.

The student population has increased by ~10,000 over the last decade.
10,000 students don’t offset 1000 homeless people in setting a culture for the town of Berkeley.

I saw a video on a corner with a couple gas stations closest to Oakland Airport.
Since rental car company charge you about 100 bucks a gallon if its not full, the stations are frequented by people making a stop before the airport. All the bandits know this.
They pile out by the carload and start smash and grabs taking stuff out of the cars, heck one guy was pumping gas and they smashed the window on the other side and took his stuff. What cha gonna do with half a dozen homies with pipes in hand.
Cops said it happens half a dozen times a day at least. We dont have the manpower to stay 24/7. We cant chase them its against the law and they know it, they just pile in a car drive away and flip us off. If we do arrest them they make bail in an hour.

I agree with your comments. A very big part of this indoctrination is being done by the corporate media. CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, Fox ( to a lesser extent IMO), New York Times, Washington Post, others. This also includes Radio stations owned by these companies.
