Ben Shapiro is starting to grate on my nerves

I’m an admitted huge fan of Shapiro and listen to his podcasts daily. But since the “blue wave” as he calls it he has been pretty insufferable. He continuously blames the President’s rhetoric for policy failures during the first two years when the GOP controlled Congress. He never calls out the entrenched politicians of Congress that stonewall and push the status quo. Trump bears some blame, sure, and I’m not a huge Trump fanboy by any stretch. But the biggest threat to GOP policies isn’t really Trump, it’s the establishment GOP themselves. It’s just been irking me lately that Shapiro, who has a big youth audience, is alienating Trump from his audience while pushing the same BS GOP policies that led us to a Trump presidency.

Shapiro is a Zionist cuck who has the interests of Israel and the Jewish faith above the country he lives in and profits from. The sooner you stop listening to him the better. He has motives which aren’t conducive to America first.

Shapiro makes all of his arguments with blinders on. He is to intellectual for his own good. He is the quintessential college-like philosophical debater who gives no thought or regard to the actualities of what he is arguing.

He’s not alienating trump from his audience.
If people are intellectual enough to be listening to Shapiro, they know the score.
He’s a younger Glenn Beck: determined to sacrifice his career in order to stand for his principles which are essentially “I want principled conservativism only if it’s wrapped in nice language and by people I like.”
He highlights things he hates trump for and downplays things he and trump agree on. By 2020, he is as likely as not to be talking about supporting a 3rd party candidate.
He won’t have a long career as a successful commentator at this rate. He should model rush limbaugh more than beck. Rush pays attention to his audience and gets out in front of the already happening parade. Beck finds and empty street and tries to start his own.

Yep. I have been a Shapiro fan for a while, but I'm done with him. It's difficult not to see clearly that Trump upset his establishment apple cart, and he wants terribly to return to letting the socialist democrats dictate the direction of the country, with the republicans feigning opposition.

He has kinda turned into the howard stern of political talk radio. Whatever is edgy is what he spews. Used to listen to him alot, but most of his stances seems forced just for the sake of debating or arguing.

I blame, to a large part, the red wave of retirements that opened up seats for libs to grab. Did he place any blame on that?

It's not that I don't advocate for his positions, because I agree with most of them (sans his foreign policy positions). It seems he wants to return to when the Republicans were pushovers and basically let the Dems get away with whatever they wanted to. Conservatives can absolutely not go back to that - you have to fight back and stand up to leftist attacks and mistruths.

Maybe to some degree he does. But his main contention is that Trump's strong rhetoric turned the suburbs against the GOP and that this will hurt him in 2020 if suburbanites either stay home or vote blue.

Shapiro is a tiny neocon Zionist. The worst of the old gop philosophy. He thinks winning pointless faggy debate club style arguments that no one cares about is more important than actually winning. He undermines any sort of winning by preemptively cutting the legs out any republican response by making a line they can’t cross. This. I’ll listen to him on runs and he steps on his own dick trying to be sensible but agreeable.
He’s right 90% of the time but when he’s wrong he goes full bitch mode.
The problem is that he’s right on Trump. As much as this board loves his ferocity, it’s off putting to the general populace. There’s got to be a happy medium of standing up to the lying dick faces on the left and being an a-hole just to be an a-hole.
