It's something. They aren't actually doing anything. They're moving backwards and setting fires in the streets. That's all.

Yeah, I'm a conservative unlike yourself who would not know conservatism if it hit your nationalist populist face with a coal miner's glove.

Either this has become a dud which is possible or they are being a diversion.
They were pretty coordinated last night from everything I read and how they were going about it, so would be surprised if tonight they were just going to do this. Now maybe the police in a larger numbers and with water cannons wasn’t thought about so they need some time to figure it out. I don’t see them just raging for one night and stopping.

How many pints of Guinness did she drink beforehand?
Dock Ellis threw a no-hitter on acid. David Wells threw a perfect game still half drunk and hungover from the night before. I don't accept inebriation as an excuse for poor form.

I'm not sure what they're doing here. They aren't burning people out of their homes. They really only seem to be preoccupying the police.
Either
A) the authorities are putting on a show, to let "the public" know they're still in control,
or
B) this group is out there with the purpose of keeping the police tied up, while another group goes and handles business.

Apparently they're about 10 minutes outside of Belfast proper. They may have drawn them out there deliberately.
Ah, the guy is saying they were marching towards a migrant hotel. That's why they drew the line and brought out the water cannons.

They're setting this old house on fire.

Similar to in Iran, these movements/protests are like big gusts of wind.
You have to get what you want/succeed in the main gust, because if the thing you’re trying to knock down survives the initial blow, that thing will entrench and the gust will lose momentum.
Big question here is have we seen the main gust, or is this just build up?

LOVE IT.
Love the bystanders cheering.
Hopes that he’s somewhere else now, back at it.

He's reporting that two teens were arrested after attacking police with a petrol bomb.

A smaller group should break off flank them and burn the hotel to the ground
Posted on 6/10/26 at 4:23 pm to AlterEd
That could just add more tender to it, if they put up some resistance and take a bit of a beating that might spark more fight

This is the way.
The government and its police flunkies are going to be ruthless in their suppression. It’s street fighting time.

There goes that old house up in flames. That doesn't seem cool. There clearly aren't any migrants there and it's awful close to other people's homes.

Being that it’s an upscale area outside Belfast it could be a politicians or judges house. If someone can get migrant locations I’m betting they could track down the supporters of them. It could just be an innocent by stander though

It wasn't anybody's home. Old and boarded up. It was on the back of someone's property. Probably used as a shed. They took a car out from behind the old home (looked like an old beetle) and added it to the fire in the street and then went back and torched the home. Thing is, it's like 10 feet from someone else's home. The guy that lived there was standing out there telling them to cut it out.
It was an opportunistic act of arson.
