Been saying it for years…Russia will strategically nuke Ukraine

Just hoping cfb kicks off soon enough so I can get off of this forum, but let’s be real and rational before then. Going to do my best posting this in 10 minutes or less with other rational people filling in the gaps:

Russia is in a corner, so they can’t declare total war with millions of more troops and military focused production, which would not work out because of already proven supply chain incompetence just outside of Kyiv at the start of the war, let alone now when they’d have to cross millions of land mines between Belarus (translates to White Russia fun fact) and a river east of Russian occupied territory.

Putin really wants Lithuania so he can connect Kaliningrad. Can’t blame him. Setting up that territory connection would directly connect Russia to another sea, which would fit in nicely with an annexed Belarus. There’s no such thing as good or bad guys, just men with incentives.

The only option he has is tactical nukes. Ukraine survives because of logistics to the west through Poland, but if you use your competitive advantage with tactical nukes developed during the USSR days, you can actually paralyze everyone despite the tough talk since it would be too jarring for those in eastern and central Europe (sitting ducks) since let’s be real, the UK and France are pussies and won’t do anything. And they criticize us too much for Trump/NATO to do anything. Fallout probably wouldn’t go past Romania and Moldova under the right weather conditions if that.

It would not only bring that scary precedent you always hear about, but also the west to the table.
