Then say that. This is part of the problem. You're conflating several different groups of people.

I did. There are numerous posts in the conversation.

Then you should stick to this.

I posted a link to the data. Sorry you didnt see it.

No, I saw it. Data is meaningless without an interpretation and analysis.

I do believe the perception of not being normal is the overwhelming cause though

I wish there were more gay characters on TV and movies when I was growing up. It certainly would've helped in some small way. Although I do long for the day when their sexuality isn't their plot point and they are just characters in a TV/movie who happen to also be gay.

Indeed. I was pretty homophobic through high school and college. It wasn't until a childhood friend came out that I re-evaluated my thoughts on the subject.

I could get way off topic on that one. Hypocrisy is one of my favorite behaviors to watch.

Well, we're trying to talk about that. "I don't know" and "I just don't like it" are not valuable contributions.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I want to know how much knowledge you have on the topic. So far, it appears to be very little.

What questions have not been answered that you feel would be meaningful?

I mean if seeing two guys hold hands or kiss is the worst thing your child sees in their life, they've done pretty good.

He was a clear womanizer in the original, so I see no reason why he would be.

perhaps its because your questions need to be clarified or provide more information to answer?

It's relative to our current society. Little boys and girls were not confused about their genders back then not bc they were scared to "be themselves". They just didn't have people pushing that on them. Kids shouldn't be exposed to that stuff in elementary school. They should just be kids.

Ah, so you're just stuck in the Good Ol' Days.

Also, why do you people keep trying to steer this back to transgenders? Either way, it's complete bullshite to pretend that it's new.

I specifically asked, after we agreed that there are other issues outside of societal backlash, why the LBGT community has increased rates of mental issues. Research doesn't have a good answer.

Everyone just wanted to get hung up on the word usage of normal. I will concede is not definitive either way, its just my word usage.

I have nothing against any LBGT person. I treat all people the same so long as they treat me with respect.

I also asked about this: LINK

and the issues with the Trans community mental health. Which is clearly worse.

For a bit of background, I only started digging into it after the Milo situation.

I listen to Joe Rogan podcast a lot and he had some interesting things to say on it. He referenced some of the material.

So that question was already answered for you.

What did you ask? I'm not going back to look.

What else was not answered?
