The dishonorable Eboni Rose Johnson, ignorant clown who disgraced the courtroom on multiple occasions making horrendous serious legal decisions and was ultimately suspended decided to run again for her seat.

She ran unopposed and was re-elected.

The 19th JDC hates itself. Baton Rouge cannot course-correct when this is allowed to occur.

She's a fricking embarrassment, but she is in a carved out minority sub-district and one of her twin uncles is chief judge (at least until January). No black lawyer practicing in the 19th was going to run against her.

That said, the 19th is a clown car.

Mind you... EJR and her uncles lead the revolt at the 19th that dismantled the civil/criminal "split" that the Louisiana Supreme Court just reimposed.

She and Edwards cooked up the settlement that set up the 19th into the shitshow it is today.

All judgeships in a JDC should be district wide.

The way judicial districts are drawn is ridiculous. Black neighborhoods are purposely over-represented because the districts aren’t required to each contain a relatively similar number of people. So, you’ll have 10 districts, and 5 of them are black neighborhoods. The black districts are each maybe 20000 voters while the other 5 districts each have 100k+ voters in them. It’s a blatant violation of equal representation, yet has been allowed to stand for some reason despite similar systems for state legislatures and city councils being tossed out as unconstitutional.

Wow
That incredible.
How do they get by with that?

EBR has about 450K people. It’s easy, 10 districts each should be sbout 45K, right?

She’s disgrace to what William Morvant represented. When I look back to the bench in the 19th when I started practicing- the only scar was Janice Clark. Janice was corrupt. But at least she wasn’t stupid.

Eboni Rose Johnson is a disgrace to Janice

You do not know of what you speak!

She is imminently qualified!

She is liberal.
She is black.
And she has a vagina.

Now if she was only Muslim, lesbian, and had adopted transgendered children, she would be the ideal choice for Chief Justice of the Supreme Court!!!!!
