Some will never understand 4-D Chess no matter how well you explain it to them.

I got though. Good read!

if Trump goes this route and completely abandons the wall, I 100% support it

but I don't understand how hardcore Trump supporters can read Adams theories on Trump and not see that he is just calling y'all blind sheep

I can't believe how much y'all love a guy who believes most Trump supporters are weak-minded simpletons being misled by a hypnotist (see the Dave Rubin interview).

A better title would be

"Scott Adams presents thinly veiled rationalization for Trump's complete failure to implement campaign promises."

Candidate Trump paced (matched) his base on immigration until he got elected. Now the base trusts that he is philosophically aligned with them. So if he finds he can’t do all the things they demand, they are likely to let him lead to whatever is practical and doable simply because they trust him on the topic. People don’t expect a politician to be magic, or to do the impossible. But they do want politicians to “get” them and to care about them and to fight for what they want. President Trump paced his supporters by understanding their needs and fighting for them. That group is likely to trust him when he says some form of “This is the best we can do for now.”

That sounds good in theory but it's mostly bs.

YAWN

because trump clearly doesn't come from a background of construction so he clearly never thought it through when he said "the wall".

are you also going to measure it and call him out again it if isn't '10 feet higher' than the original design?

Scott Adams isn't a Trump supporter. He just explains his power as a persuader.

Guy is basically explaining to them how an insincere huckster is manipulating them with dimestore word games--and they're comforted by it.

Makes sense. Schumer definitely thinks that Trump agrees with them and they have a deal (as shown in the link I just posted). I suppose both sides can be "correct" on this as there remains plenty of gray area.

I don't see how you can't see that a vote for Trump was about what he represented and an F you vote to politics and politicians.

I don't know if he will ever build a wall or if he ever meant it, but I know he said it and we voted for it.
Is a wall just symbolic? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, symbols are important, and other than Trump and MAYBE Cruz, we were offered more of the Bush, McCain, Romney variant of "conservative", people who don't conserve anything but protections for the rich.

We are through with Rs and Ds and the people who own them all.
F them. Forever

He's really not doing that. At least not to the Trump fans who are actively reading his board. He is "dealing us in".

I wasn't being salty. I think you misread me. I have a playful tone, too.
