BREAKING: Mayor LaToya Cantrell announces that starting at 6 a.m. Saturday, takeout alcohol sales prohibited in New Orleans. (Basically, bars will be closed.)

Cantrell: Too many party buses without permits operating now. Also says short-term rentals are being used to host parties. Tells property owners they face a permanent loss of their license. “We’re not playing around.”

They closed daiquiri shops too. What the hell does a drive thru daiquiri shops have to do with COVID? So I can drive thru and get macdonalds but not a daiquiri?
Okay Latoya. Elections have consequences Nola. We’re reaping what we sowed.

Careful - there are idiots out there that will argue till they are blue in the face that the protesters don't spread covid.

If New Orleans does not vote this abomination out the next cycle; I hope New Orleans literally burns to the ground.

If I were a bar owner in NOLA I’d be running speakeasy style with jacked up pricing and making a killing.
Edit: Actually the established bars are at a disadvantage because they’re set up to be obvious from the street. Private property owners who have backyards they can use like speakeasies are set up.

What about bars inside restaurants

We really should tell all these power hungry leaders to get bent. We all have to suffer for them allowing the protests if their metrics are correct. It’s their direct fault the cases are rising if we are to believe everything they are saying.

What is the risk of losing your license if you are going to lose your business anyway without being open? These bar owners just need to tell her to frick off and open up, and the people of New Orleans need to back them up and go.

And the biggest idiot is actually the Gestapo Health Czar Jennifer Avegno. She is a medical doctor that made that ridiculous assertion...acting as a medical professional. How is it possible that she can keep her medical license??

No idea, but that argument throws common sense out the window.
