I think that's why he paused before saying he believed spying happened. I think he was deciding how much he wanted to give away before the investigation is done.

That, like the "Trump Jr will be arrested" narrative will last only up until evidence comes out that disproves it.

This is the biggest thing that jumps out as a Red Flag. It appears that is pretty standard and, if this was on the level, then someone would've gone to Trump and briefed him that Intelligence suspected that Russia was trying to influence or collude with the campaign.
